Central Supply Company of WV began operating in Clarksburg, West Virginia in 1915. It sold grain, feed, hay, buggy parts, sand and stone, cement and other like items necessary to the agricultural and building trades.

Central maintained the same location from the late 1920s until 2001. This location saw 4 generations of family ownership. Horses were originally boarded in the basement and were used for delivery. That same basement later housed dump trucks that we use today!

We began selling ready-mixed concrete in the 1950s, delivering ready-mixed concrete in some of the 1st 2 CY mixers made.

Central moved its ready-mix operation to “Saltwell,” near I-79 in Bridgeport, West Virginia in 1992. Our plant is a fully computerized, 3 silo, 12 CY batch, 150 CY/HR dry-batch facility.

We next expanded in 1995 to service the Morgantown construction market by opening a retail building supply store near the Sabraton Exit of I-68. This location houses our brick, paver, architectural block and manufactured stone display showroom. We carry at this location a full complement of block, aggregates, steel, masonry and concrete accessories.

We added a concrete block manufacturing plant at our “Saltwell” facility in 1998. We produce gray block, colored architectural block and “Keystone” retaining wall block from a fully automated & computerized Besser plant.

The year 2000 brought a new building products warehouse and sales outlet to our “Saltwell” location. Through this addition, we can service Harrison and Marion, as well as surrounding counties with a complete line of concrete and masonry related construction materials.

2003 saw the completion of our new corporate office at our Saltwell facility. This new office houses our administrative staff as well as our masonry products showroom and exterior patio paver/wall displays. We believe that our brick and masonry products showroom is second to none.

In May of 2004, we completed the construction of our fully computerized ready-mixed concrete batching facility in Morgantown. This plant is a high-production, environmentally friendly facility that serves Monongalia County, as well as. southwest, PA and western MD.

2005 saw Central's expansion into Elkins, WV and the Randolph County area. Our computerized batching facility just off of Rt 33 will service a such areas as Elkins, Buckhannon, Canaan Valley, Parsons, Snowshoe and Philippi. Our full range of builders' supplies is offered as well.

The name “Central Supply” has been synonymous with “service” for nearly 90 years and 4 generations. In an effort to serve our customers throughout north-central West Virginia, southwest Pennsylvania and western Maryland, we operate fleets of both rear and front discharge mixers, telescopic boom unloaders, “moffett” rear-mounted forktruck unloaders, dump trucks and tractor-trailers. We also operate two (2) 32 Meter Putzmeister Concrete Pumps.

While we strive to promote our main product lines of Ready-Mixed Concrete, Concrete Block, Insulated Concrete Forms, Brick and Builders’ Materials, our number one goal is to forge partnerships with our customers through hard work and service.
